UTM hosts NFL Scouts for school’s Pro Day

MARTIN, Tenn — With the 2016 NFL Draft soon approaching, college players are given one more opportunity to impress NFL teams, and hopefully convince them that they deserve to be in the National Football League.

The University of Tennessee-Martin hosted their schools annual Pro Day, April 5, 2016. On hand were two scouts from the Tennessee Titans.

Defensive back Jordan Landry compared this day to a Saturday afternoon, where their strapped up in full pads.

“Honestly it was some pre-game jitters, like you’re about to go play a real game.”

The school had 10 players auditioning in front of scouts.

Now that the Pro Day is over, the players will continue to workout, and hope to hear their names called in the NFL Draft, April 28-30, in Chicago, IL.
