Stewart Named Interim Head Coach

MARTIN, Tenn — Thursday afternoon the University of Tennessee-Martin sent out a press release announcing Heath Schroyer was announcing his resignation. Rumors say he will be the next assistant coach for N.C. State.

Anthony Stewart was a member under Schroyer’s staff the past two seasons. He says he was beyond happy and speechless when he got word. Stewart said, it was a very surreal moment, years of hard work have finally paid off and he feels blessed.

Stewart’s first action as Interim Head Coach will be recruiting. Making sure he keeps all his players that are already on the roster, and making sure the commits they have are still committed to the program.
