Air conditioning unit stolen from a church in Beech Bluff
BEECH BLUFF, Tenn. — Church members in the Beech Bluff area are in disbelief after church property was stolen.
Madison County Sheriff’s officials say they got a call from a Mason Wells Baptist Church member saying the building’s heating and cool unit had been stolen. You can still see tire tracks where someone drove through the church cemetery and disconnected the unit.
Church members say someone has volunteered to donate the $1000 for the insurance deductible.
“That’s pretty low,” said church member Rhonda Hampton. “I’ve heard them stealing units from houses and things, but never from a church.”
Mason Wells Baptist Church will still be having service Sunday.
If anyone has information about the missing heating and cooling unit they are encouraged to call the Madison County Sheriffs Office.
