Crockett Co. bar deemed “nuisance”, closed by drug agents
MAURY CITY, Tenn. — Agents with the West Tennessee Drug Task Force and deputies with the Crockett County Sheriff’s Department shut down Malone’s Bar and Grill, located at 251 Dupree Street, Friday night. The raid happened during a party. Officers estimated a few hundred people were there at the time.
The closure came after a month-long investigation as part of a public nuisance complaint filed by the District Attorney General’s office.
During that time, agents said they were able to buy crack cocaine in the parking lot of Malone’s and illegal alcohol inside. According to the task force, the club only has a beer license.
No arrests were made Friday, however officers say charges are expected soon.
