Police search for suspect in Dollar General robbery

JACKSON, Tenn.– Jackson police said they are searching for the suspect accused of robbing a north Jackson Dollar General Sunday night.

news-crime-tape.jpgPolice said shortly before 7 p.m. Sunday, a suspect described as a white man wearing a black hoodie and shorts entered the store, located at 49 Kenworth Boulevard armed with a gun.

According to the shift commander on duty, the suspect was also wearing sunglasses and a bandanna when he demanded money from an employee.

The suspect fired several shots inside the store before leaving with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said.  No one was injured in the crime.
