TBI: Linden man charged with murder in Lexington fire
JACKSON, Tenn. — A man is facing murder and arson charges in a fire in Lexington earlier this week.
Buddy Ray Small, 36, of Linden is charged in the Tuesday fire in the 90 block of Johnson Road, according to a release from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.
Investigators found a body of a man inside the home. The identity of the victim is pending autopsy results, according to the release.
During the investigation, agents developed information that led them to Small as the person responsible for the homicide and arson, the release states.
TBI agents arrested Small Wednesday. He is charged with first-degree murder, arson and abuse of a corpse.
Small is being held in the Henderson County Jail without bond.
