Jackson Jones

Multimedia Journalist

Jackson Jones is a Multimedia Journalist from Murfreesboro.

He started at Middle Tennessee State University in Fall 2013 and graduated in May 2017 with honors with a bachelor of science degree in multimedia journalism.

While at MTSU, Jackson served as an MTSU Student Ambassador, worked as an Editorial Operations Intern at CNN Headquarters Atlanta in 2016 where he worked on the RNC and DNC conventions, served as a marketing intern for Murfreesboro’s local library Linebaugh in 2016, was a producer and reporter at WGNS Radio for two years, reported and produced for MTSU’s College’s student-run TV station MT10 News for four years, and created an award-winning series inspired by Humans of New York called Humans of MTSU on the college program The RISE MT.

His favorite memory is doing a feature story about a man with cerebral palsy who is a referee for the TSSAA and doesn’t let his disability stop him.

Jackson enjoys golfing, traveling, running, reuben sandwiches, karaoke, movie trivia and spending time with his family.
