JPD confirms person in custody after possible arson

JACKSON, Tenn. — Jackson police confirm one person is in custody after a fire Thursday afternoon in downtown Jackson.

Officials say the fire started around 4 p.m. in the 500 block of East Baltimore Street.

No injuries have been reported and the extent of the damage is unknown, according to the Jackson Fire Department.

Jackson police say the fire is being investigated as arson.
