Former Vacation Bible School volunteer, Chad Lutrell, 30, of Jackson, will face a judge and jury on a charge of aggravated sexual battery.  He was indicted on the count by a Madison County grand jury, Monday.

Lutrell is accused of inappropriately touching a 10-year-old during a game of tag after Vacation Bible School at First Baptist Church of Bemis over the summer.  The girl told investigators Lutrell rubbed her chest when he tagged her and would not stop until a church leader walked in and made him leave.

Lutrell is a member of the church and had drawn suspicions before the incident on June 10.  In 2006, Pastor Mark McSwain, who is the current pastor, filed a report with Jackson police regarding suspicious behavior around females of all ages.

Before his indictment, Lutrell was ordered to undergo a mental evaluation.  He is currently free on bond while he awaits trial.
