Aaron Hastings, 30, the person of interest in the death of McNairy County woman, Donna Hill, 50, remained in police custody in Corinth, Mississippi Wednesday. Deputies caught Hastings around 10 p.m. Tuesday night in Corinth.

Hastings' family members said he would never hurt anyone.

Lori Hastings still cannot believe her brother, Aaron Hastings, is a person of interest involving the apparent murder of Donna Hill. "He was a really good kid. He was quiet and go along with everybody," said Lori.

Lori said before authorities took her brother into custody, he broke into their family home on Burns Road in Corinth. "He took two of my dad's 30-30 rifles, and one of his 38 pistols," she said.

After the break-in, family members believe deputies combed nearby woods for hours searing for Hastings. According to Lori, deputies found Aaron near the Corinth Junior High School.

Lori continues to stand by her brother and believes he is innocent. "He was raised up in a good home and he knows right from wrong," said Lori, but admits Aaron did not keep the best of company. "You know when you run around with the wrong crowd and you want to fit in with that crowd and sometimes you do things you normally do not do," she said.

Lori had one simple message for Aaron. "I love him. Keep his head up and if he did do it, come forward," she said.
