A Tipton County woman and her mother-in-law have both been
arrested, accused of defrauding the state's low-income
healthcare program.
According to the office of
inspector general, Lana Jo Ralph, 32 of Covington is accused
of presenting false information to the state about her
husband's income in order to obtain benefits for herself and
her children.
Lana Jo Ralph's
mother-in-law, Donna Ralph, 62 of Covington is accused of
helping her with the false information. Both women
surrendered to the Tipton County Sheriff's Department and
face one count of Tenncare fraud and one count of food stamp
fraud.
If convicted, they could
spend up to two years behind bars.
