The recipient of the Tom Price Scholarship will be chosen by representatives of the Lambuth music department.
The legacy of a
long-time Lambuth University music instructor will live
on in the lives of future students.
The family of Tom Price
donated a $22,000 check to the university, Thursday. The
endowment donation will allow for an annul scholarship
for a student majoring in music, with a preference given
to students who concentrate in guitar
performance. Price, who died in June was Lambuth's first
guitar major and it s first guitar instructor.
"I also hope that it will
encourage others to give to Lambuth, to the scholarship
fund if they so desire or just to Lambuth in general to
support this very special place in our community," said
Susan Price, Tom Price's widow.
