Deadly North Mississippi Pursuit

The armed robbery of a bank in northeast Mississippi ended tragically for one of the suspects, Tuesday afternoon.
 
According to Corinth police, South Bank was robbed around 4:30 p.m. Officers said a male suspect got into a car and was chased east on Highway 72 until it crashed in Tishomingo County near Iuka. Investigators said the female driver died after being thrown from the vehicle. The male passenger was transported to a Corinth hospital before being airlifted to Tupelo. His condition is unknown.
 
Officers said they recovered cash and a handgun at the crash site from the bank robbery. The investigation continues.
