Suspended Humboldt police officer Jonathan Cook pleaded not guilty in Crockett County to a charge of filing a false report.  
 
He was suspended without pay after his indictment last week. Crockett County investigators said Cook claimed he was attacked at his Gadsden home on January 8 and was shot in the foot by an assailant. However, they believe he shot himself. Cooke will return to court on April 26.
