Bart Barker

Anchor

Bart joined WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News in August 2013 to co-host and help produce the popular Friday night high school football show, "The 5th Quarter."

Bart is also the co-host on Good Morning West Tennessee. You can catch him on weekday mornings 5:30 a.m. with Mallory Cooke.

A native of West Tennessee, Bart was born and raised in Savannah, TN and is a graduate of Hardin County High School.

He received his degree in Electronic Media Journalism from Middle Tennessee State University in 2003. Shorty after graduation from MTSU, Bart started off as a news photographer and weekend anchor at WBBJ, then he transitioned to the Sports Director position in November of 2003.

After eight years of covering local high school, college, and professional sports in the south and midwest, Bart is very excited to be part of "The 5th Quarter" once again.

Aside from his duties with "The 5th Quarter," Bart serves as a Transition Coach for the REDI program. The program, which is operated through Southwest Tennessee Development District, helps students develop and maintain degree programs at Jackson State Community College and Dyersburg State Community College.

You can see Bart every Friday night after the WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News at 10 p.m. hosting "The 5th Quarter" with Justin Walters.
