Deneisha Pearson

Reporter

Deneisha joined the WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News Team in August 2013. She comes to us from Jackson, Ms where she worked as an Associate Producer at WLBT. She graduated from Jackson State University in 2012.

Growing up she watched the news every night with her grandmother. She looked up to local anchors like Claudia Barr and Maggie Wade. But after FOX13 featured her hometown as a "3rd World Country," she knew she needed to get out and make a difference.

She interned at WLBT in the summer of 2011 and was hired after she graduated. She also worked as an MMJ for her campus station, JSU-TV22. During her last semester at JSU, she interned for Jackson's ABC affiliate, WAPT. While interning she worked a part time job, was a full time student and a full time cheerleader.

Deneisha credits ALL of her success to God. She is a devout Christian who loves reading her Bible and being spiritually healthy. Her support system is her family, especially her mom & dad.

Deneisha is excited to be in another "Jackson." She's ready to explore all the restaurants and clothing stores. She loves shoes, clothes and food! If you see her around town don't be shy. She's ready to make new friends and never meets strangers!
