Event Description
Items accepted for recycling will include:
• Computer equipment and components (PCs, CPUs, mice, monitors, keyboards, printers, scanners, laptops, modems, hard drives, memory, circuit boards, speakers, power cords, cables, etc.)
• Other electronic items (VCRs, DVD players, game systems, radio/CD players, MP3 players, PDAs/cradles, fax machines, scanners, cell phones/ cordless phones & chargers, microwaves, appliances and other electronic equipment)
• There will also be bins onsite for aluminum, paper and plastic recycling.
• Televisions, Styrofoam, and glass will not be accepted, so please do not include them with your recyclables.
A 5 boxes limit on documents.
All cell phones collected at the event will be donated to Cell Phones for Soldiers, a program providing cell phones for those serving overseas.
Sponsors of the event include the Keep Jackson Beautiful, City of Jackson, Sunrise Recycling Services, Southeast Recycled Fiber, Mobile Document Destruction, First Presbyterian Church and Waste Management.
