Satisfy your sweet tooth and craving for fried pickles, fried green tomatoes and Mama’s Sunday Dinner fried chicken, then was it all down with sweet ice tea! Mark your calendar for McKenzie’s “Southern Fried Food and Sweet Tea Festival” Friday, August 16th from 5:00 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. and Saturday, August 17th from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. The festival will take place in downtown McKenzie at the Veterans Memorial Park.
This is your chance to sample those fried Oreos, fried bacon and grits cakes and many other novelties that will be featured. Enjoy this mainstay of Southern fare as you wander the craft booths and listen to a variety of music reflecting southern culture. Activities will be available for children.
