Rainbow Tea Celebration Set to Benefit DSCC Scholarships

Dyersburg, TN – Saturday, September 28 marks the date set for the 11th Annual Celebration Banquet to benefit the Ida Mae Theus-Mays Memorial Scholarship Fund. The annual event will take place at the Lannom Center at 5:00 p.m. that evening and will include current and former scholarship recipients as guest speakers.Return to event list.
A Rainbow Tea Celebration theme will be used throughout the night with a multitude of colorful decorations and food selections. Guests are encouraged to dress in colorful clothing to celebrate the theme. Musical entertainment will be provided by the musical group Sons of David.
This annual event celebrates the memory of Ida Mae Theus-Mays who was a devout believer and supporter of education and the founder of Faith Deliverance Apostolic Church. The Ida Mae Theus-Mays Memorial Scholarship Fund was established to help provide an education for second-year full-time students at DSCC. To be eligible, the students must have and maintain a minimum 2.5 grade point average, must be active in campus life at DSCC, and should be an active member of a Christian-centered church. In coordination with the Financial Aid Office and the financial aid guidelines at Dyersburg State, the trustees of Faith Deliverance Apostolic Church make the selection. The process includes the submission of an application, a letter from the applicant and two reference letters.
