Hardin County High School computer teacher Lori Harris makes a difference in her students' lives.

"If we are teachers, and we are truly dedicated to our job, we are going to be available to these kids around-the-clock, so we can make a difference," said Harris. "Because that's what we'd expect for our own children."

From marketing and management to accounting, Harris teaches life long skills in her Virtual Enterprise class.

"Everything that you would do in a real business," said Harris. "So they can take those skills for their college careers and outside once they graduate with a degree."

She said giving her students what they need for life and pushing them even further are her biggest tasks.

"I push them to go - not just 100% - but 115% plus," said Harris. "I push them to do things they typically wouldn't try."

She also pushes herself to keep going, even when things get tough.

"Don't make me stop. Let me keep coming in here," said Harris. "If I feel bad, this is my therapy. This is what I want to do every day. This is why I get up every morning, so I can make a difference in these kids' lives."
