JACKSON, Tenn.- Two local businesses appeared before the Jackson Beer Board, Thursday.
It was discovered Superway on Airways Boulevard did not have a license to sell beer and was using the license of a previous owner.
The store will have to apply for a license and get approval before sales will be allowed.
Owners of Raceway on South Highland were fined $1,500 and ordered to pay the fine in seven days. If they fail to do so, they will not be allowed to sell beer.
"We hope they take notice and make sure that their employees are properly trained in the sale of beer and that this is a situation that we don't have to go through again," said Charles Rahm, chairman of the Jackson Beer Board.
Last week, the board suspended five licenses, revoked one, and fined another store.
