The Affordable Care Act has come with its fair share of confusion, from what it is and how to use it.

Dr. David James spoke to WBBJ on how you can get those questions answered.

Much of the confusion surrounds trouble with the government's registration website. There's now a go-to person with Jackson-Madison County General Hospital to get you the help you need.

Adrian Winfrey is West Tennessee's new navigator.

"The market place is the way for you to shop for insurance online and it gives you different health options, health insurance options that best fit your needs"

Her job is to help you work through your questions about the Affordable Care Act.

"As a navigator, I am going out to the community and informing others and educating them as well about the Affordable Care Act and also helping them step by step enroll into the marketplace," Winfrey said.

One of the most common questions is about those without jobs.

"A lot of people have been questioning me about the unemployed and uninsured individuals that can't afford health insurance," Winfrey said. "They can't get insurance but they can get an exemption form so they don't have to pay the penalty fee."

As for Winfrey, she says she's just excited to get to walk people through the process.

"I'm very excited," Winfrey said. "I'm finding out a lot of information about it. I'm The main thing is me helping others find out more information and getting affordable insurance."
