Regional Hospital ribbon cutting to bring more emergency help to Jackson
NORTH JACKSON -- Thursday's ribbon cutting for Regional Hospital will soon bring an increase in staff and a decrease in wait time.
The 16 bed addition to the emergency room will be manned by 30 staffers.
"We are happy that we are going to be able to offer those services to them get them seen," James Fountain, the director of Regional Hospital said. "Get them treated, take care of their health care needs and get them back out."
The hospital tells WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News construction began in May of last year and wrapped up this month.
