JACKSON, Tenn.-Late Wednesday evening, Madison County Juvenile Court Judge Christy Little ruled the teen, accused in the shooting outside a west Jackson apartment complex earlier this month will be tried as an adult.

Deontae Adkisson, 15, now faces just one count of attempted murder.
He was originally charged with two counts. His bond is set at $75,000.

Police said Adkisson got into a fight on March 9 then returned to the apartment complex on Old Hickory Boulevard and shot a 15-year-old in the side.

A 20-year-old was shot at, but not hurt. That man did not come to court Wednesday, resulting in the charge involving him being dropped.
