Accused Murderer Appears in Court

The man charged in Jackson's sixth murder of the year is in jail tonight after a court appearance this morning.

Travis Holliday is charged with second degree murder. He is charged
in the murder of Ken Brasher.

Early Sunday morning while playing pool at a bar near downtown Jackson court papers quote witnesses that after a verbal altercation Holliday hit the victim Ken Brasher in the face with his fists and, after Brasher fell to the floor, Holliday stomped on his head twice and struck Brasher in the head with a bar stool.

Holliday is being held on a $250,000 bond. He will return to court on Thursday, June 28.
