Area First Responders Conduct Drill at Pringles Park

JACKSON, Tenn. - Emergency officials conducted a drill at Pringles Park, Thursday.

The drill was to test emergency workers response to a mass casualty event involving a chemical weapon at the park.

EMS, hospital personnel, police, firefighters, city and county workers all participated in the exercise. About 14 counties had first responders participating in the exercise.

The event took several months of planning. Officials used the drill to determine what the best methods of responding to similar disasters would be.
