JACKSON, Tenn.- Studying or preparing for a big test, such as TCAPs is not always a fun thing. That is unless you are a student at Arlington Elementary School.

Tuesday, in an effort to encourage students and help them prepare for their upcoming state achievement tests, teachers are trying to make preparing a fun experience.

They told WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News their goal is to create a relaxed and fun atmosphere.

"So we're trying to get skills in that they're maybe struggling with during the regular day and trying to make it more fun for them in the afternoon so they'll be able to catch on easier for the test," said Terri Balowe, a teacher at Arlington Elementary School.

Several businesses have donated items such as kindles and scooters to be given away to our students as door prizes.
