Murder Arrest Made in Hardin County

HARDIN COUNTY, Tenn. - The TBI has made an arrest in the May murder of a Savannah man. Agents said their suspect was already behind barn when they served him with a warrant.

William Thomas Umfleet, 54, faces one-count of first degree murder. TBI agents said he was already in the Hardin County Jail for violating an order of protection in an unrelated case. Umfleet is accused of killing Thomas Michael Dickson, 56. He was found by a neighbor inside his Savannah home back in May.

Investigators have never said how Dickson was killed, but said he did suffer trauma to his head.
