Arrests Made in Man Wanted in Drug Trafficking

A suspected drug dealer is off the streets, arrested by U.S. Marshals and Jackson Police.

Willie Merriweather has been wanted since January on a federal drug trafficking charge. He was arrested, Wednesday at a home on Riverside Drive. Merriweather was also wanted by Jackson Police on counts of theft and violating his probation.

Syrena Merriweather was also arrested in the raid. She is charged with interfering with government operations and accessory after the fact.
