Banquet Kicks Off OVC Tournament in Jackson

JACKSON, Tenn.- The Ohio Valley Conference Baseball Championship got kicked off with a banquet dinner at Union University, Tuesday night.

Six teams will compete in a double elimination tournament that will take place at the Ballpark at Jackson. More than 40 members represented each team.

Event organizers said they are glad that the tournament is in Jackson again.

"We appreciate the community coming out to show them that we are glad to have them here because they are an intricate part of what we do," said Lori Nunnery of the Jackson Convention and Visitors Bureau.

This is the fourth year in a row that the Ballpark at Jackson has hosted the tournament. The championship game will be played this Saturday.
