CAMDEN, Tenn. - A Benton County man is behind bars accused of threatening to murder a local judge. Oscar Lee Taylor is being held in lieu of $100,000 bail. Taylor is being charged with retaliation.

Sheriff's Deputies said he sent Benton County Judge John Whitworth a threatening letter. Sheriff Tony King said Taylor has a lengthy arrest record and added this is not Taylor's first time to threatening a county official.

Sheriff King said in the letter to Judge Whitworth he referenced Bible passages.

Taylor is scheduled to make his court appearance May 22.
