Bethel University's latest National Champions received a hero's welcome from the McKenzie's Rotary Club, Tuesday.

The civic club hosted the Wildcats championship in-line hockey team. They won their first National Championship in Salt Lake City, Saturday night.

Players said they are honored to have the title, and that it came from a lot of hard work.

"It's remarkable and it's just exhilarating to see how far we have truly come, if you saw us in the beginning of the year, where we are now you would totally think we are a different team, " said Kekoa Latimore a Wildcats player.

Carrol County Mayor Kenny McBride also stopped in to congratulate the team on their victory. Mayor McBride declared Tuesday, April 24 as Bethel University Wildcats In-line Hockey Day.
