JACKSON, Tenn. - The rain did not stop a few motorcyclists from hitting the roads to support those who have served our country.
Despite rain showers, the American Legion Post 90 Ladies Auxiliary sponsored a bike run this morning to raise money for veterans. The money will help service men at a VA hospital in Memphis and a VA nursing home in Humboldt.
Organizers said this is their way of showing appreciation to those who have sacrificed so much.
" They have given their lives. They have done everything for us. A lot of them have given their mental health for our country, and we need to salute and honor them," said organizers Beverly Hall.
The organization raised more than $1,000 this weekend. The ride ended with a silent auction, raffle, and live band.
