Body Found in Car Behind School

JACKSON, Tenn. - A body found behind a local school has spurred a homicide investigation.

The body was reportedly discovered Monday morning around 8:30 a.m. in a car behind the Whitehall Pre-K Center. They believe the victim had been dead for about 24-hours.

An assistant county medical examiner was summoned to the scene. The victim was identified as William Joseph Nachlinger, 25, of Rocky Springs Road in Beech Bluff.

His body was transported to the state Medical Examiner's Office in Nashville to determine the exact cause of death.

According to witnesses, the car had been parked there at least 24 hours. Evidence at the scene indicates Nachlinger was not killed on the parking lot.

This case is Jackson's first homicide of the year.
