JACKSON, Tenn.-An autopsy has positively confirmed Lacord Matthews as the man found shot to death, Thursday in east Jackson.
The 24-year-old was found behind Lincoln Elementary School by a man walking. According to officers the medical examiner used finger prints to positively identify him.
His prints were on record due to his 2008 arrest in Nashville when a mug shot was snapped. Metro Nashville police told WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News that Matthews was found guilty of drug possession.
A check with officers in Jackson and in his hometown of Jonestown, Mississippi shows Matthews had never been arrested in either place.
