JACKSON, Tenn.- The Boys and Girls Club of Jackson hosted its 28th annual Steak and Burger Dinner, Thursday night at Jackson State Community College.

The fundraiser, helps provide the free services offered by the club for children throughout the city. It is also a time when the kids get to eat steak and the adults have to eat burgers.

Event organizers said that this event is something that they look forward to every year.

"Our kids need to know that our community supports us 100 percent for the activities we have and to tell that we love them and show them a better way of life," said Sabrina Anderson, executive director of the Boys and Girls Club.

The speaker at the event was Darrell Wyke. The McNairy Central High School graduate played and coached football throughout the Mid-South.
