Bradford Police Investigating Burglary of Dollar General

BRADFORD, Tenn.- Officers in Bradford are investigating a break-in at the town's Dollar General store.

The thieves appeared to have used a familiar tactic of tearing away a portion of the outside wall and going straight to the office and the safe.

The break-in was discovered just after 7:30 a.m., Monday. Investigators are still trying to determine why the store's alarm system was not triggered. More than $2,100 in cash was taken. The burglar did not bother with the checks.
