Nearly 2,000 spectators from all over the world are expected to travel into Jackson over the weekend for a very special West Tennessee tradition.

The 12th Annual Bunny Run Car Show kicked off their festivities, Friday. The show was held at the Jackson Fairgrounds Park near historic downtown Jackson.

The event features hundreds of custom cars and street rods from the early 1940's and 1980's. Participants showcased their favorite classics and were able to do a little shopping provided by local vendors.

All proceeds benefit the Underprivileged Children's Christmas Shopping Spree Charity.

"Hope everyone will come out and see the cars. There is a story behind every car out there, " said Murry Exum, President of Jackson Rod and Customs.

The Bunny Run Car show will run through the weekend until Sunday 10 a.m.
