BENTON COUNTY, Tenn. - Camden Police said they are searching for a man accused of sneaking past store employees and stealing money from the store's safe.

Investigators believe the man came in and acted like a customer, asking about tools, before he went into the employee break room and took an undisclosed amount of money.

The store's owner, Tammy Hordyk, told WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News they thought the man had left the store.

"He told us no, he didn't want us to order the tools and that he was leaving," she said.

Hordyk said she had just been in the safe to get change, and the top drawer was unlocked when the thief grabbed the bag of cash.

"You just don't expect it. You like to think the best in everybody, and you just cant," said Hordyk.

Investigators said if you have any information that can help, call the Camden Police Department at (731) 584-4622.
