JACKSON, Tennessee- If you have been to the Old Hickory Mall lately, you have probably noticed structure built entirely of canned foods.

It is all part of RIFA's eighth annual "Canstruction" event. Awards were given out to participating teams.

This year's winner was Regional Hospital of Jackson and Vaughn and Vaughn Associates Archetects Team for their jack o' lantern.

Organizers said this event is a great way for different groups in the community to give back and showcase their creativity.

"It obviously is a wonderful illustration of the generousity and the compassion of our community for people in need," said Lisa Tillman, executive director of RIFA.

The canned creations will still be on display at the Old Hickory Mall through October 18. Once they are torn down, the food will be donated to RIFA'S Food Bank and Soup Kitchen.
