McKENZIE, Tenn. - Tammy Gwaltney said she is still on edge after witnessing a crashing into the raceway where she works.

"I was waiting on another customer...I was running his credit card and the next thing I knew there was a loud crash and when I turned around she was in the store," said Gwaltney.

A 60-year-old Dyersburg woman backed into the gas station off of Highway 79 after forgetting to fill her car with gasoline. The driver was attempting to get gas from the pump when she mistakenly backed into the gas station.

Gwaltney said she was inches away from the car and was trapped behind the counter. "That's what is so terrifying, I guess and still scares me now. You don't expect someone to run into the store, surely wasn't expecting it."

The store only received moderate damage with two shattered window panes. The owners plan to replace them soon.

McKenzie Police said the driver will not receive an ticket for the incident.
