HUMBOLDT, Tenn.- The Tennessee Court of Criminal Appeals has upheld the sentencing for former Humboldt Police Officer Paul Carrier who was convicted of reckless homicide in 2011.

Carrier had appealed his 2-year sentence and said he should have been given judicial diversion which would have allowed the charge to eventually be erased from his record.

In 2009, Carrier shot and killed Roy Glen, Junior after an early morning traffic stop.
