Case Against Milan Officer Bound Over to Grand Jury

JACKSON, Tenn. – The case against a Milan Police Officer who is accused for firing a shot during a homecoming celebration will now be heard by the Madison County Grand Jury.

Spencer Johnson, who is suspended with pay from his job with the Milan Police Department, is charged with reckless endangerment with a deadly weapon.

Johnson allegedly fired a shot during Lane College’s homecoming in October. Jackson police said Johnson admitted to drawing his weapon after arguing with a pedestrian, but denied firing it.

Johnson is currently out of jail on $15,000 bond.
