Case Against Teacher Accused of Touching Student Dismissed

JACKSON, Tenn. - The case against a South Side High School teacher arrested on charges of sexual battery by an authority figure has been dismissed.

A judge dismissed the charges against Thomas Berry, 41, after ruling there was not sufficient evidence that Berry had any sexual contact with his students.

Berry was accused by a female student of inappropriately touching her multiple times. Berry is an automotive tech teacher at South Side.

He was suspended without pay after his arrest.
