Charges Filed in Lincoln Courts Shooting, Suspect Still on the Loose

JACKSON, Tenn.- Jackson Police said they are positive they know who shot two people in Lincoln Courts and have issued a warrant for his arrest.
Tuesday, Jackson Police signed warrants charging Clinton Berry with attempted murder, aggravated assault and reckless endangerment. He was last seen in a box-style orange Chevrolet with chrome rims.
Investigators believe the 17-year-old who suffered a graze wound to the right side of his head was Berry's intended target.
However. the motive remains under investigation. Officers said the 37-year-old woman who was shot in the leg was caught in the crossfire. Neither of the victims live in Lincoln Courts, however, Berry does. He is 6 feet 1 and weighs 210 pounds.
7 Eyewitness News searched police records and found this is not the first time Berry has been in trouble with the law.
His first arrest came on his 19th birthday for evading arrest. More than a year later he was arrested for simple assault and a weapons charge.
In 2009, he was arrested again for simple assault and driving on a suspended or revoked license. Then in 2010, records showed a third arrest for simple assault.
