Chester Co. Wheel Tax Referendum on November Ballot

HENDERSON, Tenn.- 7 Eyewitness News can tell you that voters in Chester County will decide in November whether to repeal a recent wheel tax hike voted in by the county commission.
A total of 397 signatures were needed and today the Chester County Election Commission verified that there are enough signatures on the petition to put the wheel tax referendum on the ballot.
Voters will have the opportunity to approve or repeal the new $29.65 wheel tax increase.
Election Day is November 6.
