JACKSON, Tenn.-Chick-fil-A wants to give you a free chicken sandwich and hopes that you will give something in return.

The Chick-fil-A restaurant on Vann Drive is teaming up with the Regional Inter-faith Association, or RIFA to help stock its food pantry with canned goods and other non-perishable foods.

Diners who visit the Vann Drive location during the month of October and donate three non-perishable food items will get a coupon for a free chicken sandwich. Organizers of the "I Can" Food Drive hopes it will encourage West Tennesseans to give.

"This is an opportunity for us to give a little incentive to our community to reach out, so free chicken for cans, not a bad deal, there," said Bethany Stewart, manager of the Chick-Fil-A on Vann Drive.

The "I Can" campaign continues through October 27.
