TRENTON, Tenn.- One Gibson County church told the story of Christmas just as it was more than 2,000 years ago.

For the second year, New Way Christin Ministries in Trenton presented a live nativity scene, consisting of two teams of 32 re-enactors. 20 support staff and even live animals.

The re-enactment tells the story of the birth of Jesus in a manger in Bethlehem. Church leaders said the live nativity scene has a message of hope for all who see it.

"Our main goal and purpose and prayer is that someone will come and their life will be renewed, refreshed, maybe a marriage will be restored, maybe someone will see something here, experience something here that will help them to recognize, it's not about them, it's about others," said Pastor Kyle Rudd of New Way Christian Ministries.

The live nativity scene will be held every night through Sunday. SUNDAY.
