City of Gibson Still Closed; State Investigating

The Gibson City Hall was scheduled to reopen Monday but did not.
Officials with the state are looking into the city's finances following the arrest of the City Recorder earlier this month for theft.
State officials first made a visit to Gibson City Hall, last week. Gibson County District Attorney General Garry Brown says as of Monday, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and the State Comptroller's Office are still investigating.
Brown said more charges may be filed against Shawnda West, the former City Recorder. West was fired earlier this month.
Brown added that additional people may be charged once the investigation is complete. It is not known when City Hall will reopen.
