A middle school principal presses aggravated assault charges against the 9th grade football coach after a late night argument between the two.

Milan Middle School Principal Sonya Cathey reported to police that she got into an argument with football coach Doc Roberson at his house late Sunday night..

She claims he became very aggressive and threw her on a bed then put a gun to her head threatening to kill her. Police arrested Roberson early Monday morning.

Director of Schools Dr. Mary Reel is still figuring out how to handle the situation.

"At this point in time we've been made aware of the changes and I will meet with the two individuals today. But other than that under advise of the council I can't really discuss the case any further because employees in Tennessee have certain due process rights," said Dr. Reel.

Roberson is currently free on a $2,500 bond and is charged with aggravated assault.
